Swapo launches campaign tools

Swapo vice president Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has launched four instruments to help the party in its campaign for the upcoming November elections.

Nandi-Ndaitwah launched the tools in Windhoek on Monday.

“Comrades, I am really proud of you when I see on social media meetings are being held everywhere,” she said.

The instruments include the party website; the party mouthpiece newspaper, Namibia Today, Swapo radio programmes; the Swapo profile and the Swapo presidential candidate profile.

Nandi-Ndaitwah said the website is designed to provide voters with information about Swapo’s policies, values, undertakings and agenda to transform Namibia into an egalitarian and prosperous society.

“This is an instrument of political communication through which messages and information will be relayed to the public, especially the voters. On this website, you will find information about the various engagements in which the presidential candidate, other Swapo leaders and the rank and file are engaged by the public in real time,” she said.

Nandi-Ndaitwah also launched a Swapo radio programme on Radio Energy.

“The party has decided to pay attention to radio during this campaign and beyond, we must communicate our party and government achievements on this platform,” she said.

She noted that the programmes will be produced and presented by party members, including those representing Swapo wings and affiliates, to ensure that the concerns and aspirations of the various sectors of society are addressed.
