Swapo presidential candidate Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says her party has lifted Namibians out of poverty since independence in 1990.
She says the party has improved Namibians’ standard of living and driven infracture development.
Speaking in Windhoek during the party’s election manifesto launch on Saturday, Nandi-Ndaitwah said the party had emancipated women by 50%, allowing them to hold political positions.
“Over the years, we have delivered and trust us to deliver,” Nadia-Ndaitwah said, adding that the National Development Goals which are still outstanding will be achieved.
“I will not lead a divided nation, therefore, unity and diversity will be embraced. There are those outside there who are trying to divide us. Our future is in our hands, and unity is the only thing that will make us prevail,” she said.
