Telecom Namibia and Huawei join forces

Telecom Namibia and Huawei Technologies Namibia concluded a five-year transformative partnership on Tuesday.

The aim is to revolutionise Telecom Namibia’s mobile network capabilities and coverage across Namibia. Telecom Namibia intends to invest in the modernisation of the tn mobile network. New mobile base stations will be created and existing ones will be upgraded.

Huawei is expected to supply Telecom Namibia with cutting-edge mobile radio access equipment to improve its capacity and coverage. Access to technology like 4G, 4.5G, and 5G will allow for fast and reliable mobile broadband services.

Telecom Namibia CEO, Stanley Shanapinda states: “As a committed provider of reliable and high-speed mobile services nationwide, we are excited to join forces with Huawei to bring transformative solutions to our customers. This collaboration underscores our dedication to delivering unparalleled mobile connectivity and bridging the digital divide in communities across our country.”

The managing director of Huawei Namibia, Michael Zhang, says they are grateful and honoured for being chosen as partners for this phase of transformation.

The advanced equipment from Huawei will mean faster data speeds and seamless connectivity. Telecom Namibia plans to deliver improved services to urban and rural areas.
