The Dogg assaulted in restroom

LOCAL Kwaito artist The Dogg had to receive medical attention after he was attacked in a Windhoek nightclub early on Saturday morning.

The artist, real name Martine Morocky, was apparently hit in the face with a bottle in the restroom of Club Obsessionz. He was taken to hospital where he needed to be stitched up. Morocky told The Namibian that the incident happened at the after-party of Unam’s Cultural Festival, which had concluded earlier in the day.’I was seated in the VIP Lounge and went down to the toilets,’ he said, adding that he found the suspect involved with illegal drugs in the restroom.He said he asked the suspect what he was doing, and was hit in the face with a beer bottle for his trouble.The suspect disappeared before security guards could intervene, he said.The Windhoek Police Station Commander, Chief Inspector Robert Sanjahi, confirmed that the singer had laid criminal charges, but added that the suspect had not been arrested by yesterday afternoon.
