Three men killed over weekend

The Namibian Police have reported the alleged murder of three men over the weekend.

This was confirmed in national police spokesperson deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi’s police report.

She says Frans Efraim (23) was allegedly stabbed to death by an unknown suspect at Goreangab at Katutura in Windhoek on Saturday.

“Information revealed that the deceased was playing a jackpot machine in a bar and left. A few minutes later the deceased, with one of his friends, came running back and both were stabbed and wounded. The deceased walked a short distance and died on the spot,” Shikwambi says.

No suspect has been arrested and Efraim’s next of kin have been informed.

Police investigations continue.

It was also reported that Maseka Sihami was allegedly shot dead with a bow and arrow by a 51-year-old man at Tjeye village in the Kavango East region, following an argument during a drinking session at a shebeen.

The suspect has been arrested, and police investigations continue.

In another incident, the body of an unidentified man was discovered with gunshot wounds in Eveline Street in Windhoek’s Greenwell Matongo area.

It is alleged that a security guard shot and killed the man, who was with a group of people who attacked the guard with stones after they were refused entry to a bar.

The man who died has not been identified yet.

His body was taken to the Windhoek police mortuary for a post-mortem to be conducted.

Police investigations continue, Shikwambi says.
