OSHAKATI – The Police Traffic Co-ordinator for the Oshana and Ohangwena regions, Inspector Raphael Ludwig, has appealed to motorists to change their attitude to reduce road accidents.
Ludwig made the appeal during a Road Safety Campaign Meeting held here at the weekend. Ludwig said that road accidents, especially at Oshakati, were increasing because motorists disobeyed traffic rules.”Let us get good behaviour.I think we can make a big difference out there if we change our current driving attitudes,” Ludwig urged motorists. He also urged people to report any suspected traffic violations to the nearest Police traffic office.Apart from disobeying traffic rules and regulations, speeding, reckless overtaking, trucks driving at night, drunk driving and unroadworthy vehicles were singled out as the main factors contributing to increasing road accidents in the country. The Universal SunShine Conference Centre convened the event.Similar meetings were held at Ohangwena and Ondangwa earlier this month.- NampaLudwig said that road accidents, especially at Oshakati, were increasing because motorists disobeyed traffic rules.”Let us get good behaviour.I think we can make a big difference out there if we change our current driving attitudes,” Ludwig urged motorists. The Universal SunShine Conference Centre convened the event.Similar meetings were held at Ohangwena and Ondangwa earlier this month.- Nampa
