Two men arrested over rape of Oshana minor on separate occasions

The police in the Okatyali constituency of the Oshana region have arrested two men in connection with the rape of a girl (7).

Oshana crime investigations coordinator deputy commissioner Frederick Ndjadila says a relative of the girl reported the case on Friday.

He says the first suspect, aged 20, allegedly raped the girl on three separate occasions last year.

The second suspect, aged 26, allegedly raped the girl twice, also last year.

“One of the suspects resides in the same house as the victim, while the other is a neighbour,” Ndjadila says.

He says it is not clear why the alleged incidents are only being reported now.

Police investigations continue.
