Two men arrested for allegedly being in possession of three python skins at Nkonke village were on Monday granted bail during their first court appearance in the Kahenge Periodic Court.
The two accused persons Hausiku Rudolf (36) from Matava village and Pius Karupu (25), from Yikurukadi village in the Kavango West, appeared before magistrate Barry Mufana, who granted them bail of N$3000 each.
The two were charged for being in possession of controlled wildlife products and their case was postponed to 24 March 2022 for plea and trial.
The duo was arrested on Friday last week for being in possession of three python skins after they were intercepted by the police at Nkonke village in the Kavango West region looking for buyers of the skins, valued at N$90 000.
