University of Namibia (Unam) spokesperson Simon Namesho has confirmed that university staff members were paid on Wednesday.
This comes after the university on Tuesday announced a possible delay in staff members’ salary disbursements.
Namesho on Tuesday said the notice was precautionary, and staff members would be paid on Wednesday.
He said all staff members have received their May salaries “without delay”.
“The internal notice sent out on 14 May only served as a proactive and precautionary communication between the university and its esteemed staff on a potential delay due to an early detected administrative glitch,” Namesho said.
