VENDORS
Vendors can sell their goods at designated points during the official memorial service proceedings. However, the sale of alcohol around the Independence Stadium vicinity is prohibited. Law enforcement agencies will monitor these activities.
This provision has been made in regard to no other reason except for the fact the memorial service programme is expected to run from the morning hours of Saturday 24 February 2024 until the evening hours and refreshments by the state will only be made available at the end of the gprogramme. Therefore, vendors would assist in providing a service to the over 50 000 people expected to attend the memorial service as we mourn our beloved late president Hage Geingob.
