Vibrant Omalume Drop ‘Pamdala Owela’

A small village, Onankumo, close to Ondangwa in the Oshana region is where a vibrant duo called Omalume is from.

Muthag, real name Amagulu Tulonga, and Shangux, who is Andreas Michael, have just released their first album titled ‘Pamadala Owela’.

Omalume describe their music as a mix of kwaito and afro pop. ‘Pamadala Owela’ is a 14-track album and includes an ‘Omalume’ instrumental song and a bonus video for their song ‘Nangula’ .

The duo say they are happy that thy have finally dropped their first project. “We are very excited that we are doing music because we feel we have talent and we can’t just keep this talent to ourselves and we really enjoy doing music,” Omalume said

On this album, Omalume have worked with Pindox, Lavaxy, Kandenge, Mzelle and Keyt.

‘My Babe’, track 10 on the album, is a favourite to look out for as it shows the duo’s creativity.

Although not the best album on the market, Omalume made a valiant attempt to show their interest in music with this album. They could however have put in more effort with regard to vocal tuning and lyrical rhythm for some songs on the album.

The video for ‘Nangula’ is currently receiving airplay on local television.

The album is currently only available in Windhoek and can be found at Antonio’s Art, Elenga Music Shop in Wanaheda and Okalinidi Shop in Ombili.
