Volleyball champions start league undefeated

Last volleyball season’s champions, Namibia Correctional Service VC (NCS) in the men’s division and Revival Volleyball Club in the women’s division, began their title defenses in a dominant fashion, securing opening-round victories in the 2025 MTC Volleyball National League at the Windhoek Showgrounds on Saturday.

In the men’s division, NCS defeated Keetmanshoop Correctional Facility VC 3-1 before sweeping Unam Hard Hitters 3-0, making a strong statement early in the campaign.

Fellow title contenders Nampol Volleyball also started strong, winning both of their fixtures, including a convincing 3-0 victory over newly promoted Mighty Gunners VC.

Meanwhile, in the women’s division, defending champions Revival demonstrated their intent to retain the title with a hard-fought 3-0 win over Kudos SC, followed by a thrilling 3-2 victory over Ball Busters VC.

Other standout performances included newly promoted Unam Queens dismantling Ball Busters VC, while Nampol Volleyball (NPV) Women secured a 3-1 victory over Six Stars VC.

Round one of the National Volleyball League action concludes on Sunday, 30 March, with several matches scheduled, including:

Keetmanshoop Correctional Facility VC vs Calvary Eagles SC – men’s division

Afrocat SC vs NCS VC – men’s division

Nampol Otjozondjupa VC vs Six Stars VC – women’s division

Nampol Volleyball vs NDF Phoenix – women’s division

Kudos SC vs UNAM Queens – women’s division
