The FNB Insurance DTS Volleyball for All tournament will be held for the 41st time on 15 March.
With more than 2 000 players expected to turn out, DTS chairperson Axel Deinat said it promises to be the biggest one-day volleyball event in Africa.
“We are thrilled to announce our upcoming landmark event, the FNB Insurance DTS Volleyball for All festival which is set to take place on 15 March. This extraordinary gathering promises to be the largest one-day volleyball event in Africa, drawing enthusiasts, players, and sports lovers from across Namibia and beyond, to celebrate the spirit of the game and the power of the community,” he said.
The event will be staged at the DTS Sports field in Olympia and will feature diverse competitions involving amateur players to seasoned professionals.
“This year’s festival will encompass two volleyball categories – the classic style tournament for various age groups and skill levels where everyone has a chance to participate and showcase their talents, as well as a new category consisting of a four-a-side league made up of Namibia’s best professional players,” Deinat said.
Beyond volleyball, visitors can expect a full day of festivities, including cultural displays, interactive games, and a variety of food vendors, making it a vibrant celebration for families and friends.
“All 216 entries have been sold out and we encourage all players, families, fans and volunteers to join us for a day filled with thrilling matches, inspirational interactions and a collective love for sport,” Deinat said.
