A 33-year-old Walvis Bay primary school teacher was arrested on Thursday for the alledged rape and indecent assault of two pupils.
According to Erongo police spokesperson warrant officer Tuyenikelao Tashiya, in 2023 during the afternoon, the suspect allegedly called the first victim to his storeroom. He then carried out sexual acts with her under coercive circumstances.
It is further alleged that he called another victim to the same storeroom and indecently touched her during the first school semester of 2024.
The two victims, aged 14 and 16, are pupils at that school.
The suspect is due to appear before the Walvis Bay Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
