Water rationing planned for Oshana, Ohangwena and Oshikoto regions

The Namibia Water Corporation (NamWater) has announced a planned water rationing exercise in the northern regions of Ohangwena, Oshikoto and Oshana from Monday to Friday next week.

This is due to critical maintenance scheduled at the Oshakati treatment plant.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, NamWater announced the rationing of water supply from 22h00 to 05h00.

Customers are urged to use water sparingly during this time and to report any water wastage to NamWater.

For critical water needs at essential service centres such as hospitals, schools and clinics, residents are advised to contact NamWater operations manager Abraham Ashipala at 081 129 9483, schemes superintendents Raphael Endjala 081 124 5567 (Ohangwena and Oshana regions) or Nicodemus Ndemwiimba at 081 145 5267 (Ohangwena and Oshikoto) for possible water delivery arrangement through water tankers.
