Namibian singer-songwriter Harry Mutambo Junior Tjipueja, well-known as Waters, has been making waves in the music industry with his soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics.
As anticipation builds for the launch of his latest music video, featuring South African artist Mashudu the Vocalist, this week unWrap.online was fortunate to sit down with Waters to discuss his feelings about the collaboration and the upcoming album called ‘Becoming’.
Waters said the music video, which is set to premiere soon, showcases the undeniable chemistry between Waters and Mashudu, blending their unique styles into a harmonious and powerful performance.
He said his experience working with Mashudu was a great achievement.
“Working with Mashudu has been an incredible experience. She’s not only talented, but also brings a fresh perspective and energy that elevates the song to new heights,” Waters shared.
“I’ve always admired her work, and to have her on this project is a dream come true. The connection we have in the music video is genuine, and I believe fans will see that too,” he said.
Giving a glimpse of what listeners can expect, Waters said, “This upcoming album is a labour of love and a reflection of my growth as an artist. You can expect a blend of different musical styles, drawing inspiration from my Namibian roots, as well as my experiences and collaborations with various artists.”
He added that the album features a mix of personal stories, social commentary, and messages of hope and resilience, and hopes this collection of songs will resonate with listeners and provide a sense of connection and understanding.
“The album touches on themes of love, self-discovery and the complexities of life. I hope that, through these songs, people can relate to my experiences and feel inspired to face their own challenges with courage and optimism,” Waters said.
