Wits, Polokwane Show Botes Interest

Platinum Stars striker, Henrico Botes, has attracted interest from both Wits and Polokwane City ahead of the expiration of his current contract with Dikwena.

The 34-year-old forward recently confirmed to the Siya crew that he was going to be ending his three-year spell with the Phokeng-based side after being told that he wasn’t in Allan Freese’s plans for next season, though he said his next destination is unknown.

Now the crew has been informed that both the Clever Boys and City are keeping tabs on the Namibian international’s situation, and could look to snap him up ahead of the 2014/15 season.

The tall centre forward played an extensive part in Dikwena’s title push in 2012/13, as well as contributing to their MTN8 and Telkom Knockout double in the season just gone.

With his Dikwena contract set to expire at the end of this month, the forward will be hoping to get himself a new contract in the near future. – soccerladuma.co.za
