YGSB set to release emotional EP

YGSB is set to release his first EP next month.

GOSPEL, hip-hop and Afro-pop artist Petrus Hinamunu, also known as YGSB, is set to release his debut album at the end of this month.

He says his upcoming EP is titled ‘Feelings’.

The singer, who says he has lived at Palm Tree Park in Windhoek for the past few years, will include a variety of songs about his emotions and Palm Tree Park.

YGSB says he began making music in 2013 after quitting school and moving to Windhoek in search of a better life.

“Life in Windhoek was not really easy for me, but it inspired me to work hard and never lose hope,” he says.

He says producers Muis of Muis Music Production (MMP) has been promoting his music.

“I admire him. I am different from all the artists he has worked with in the studio due to my hard work and perseverance,” YGSB says.

The artist says he is homeless, but living at Palm Tree Park makes life simple, since it is his home and place of work at the same time.

YGSB says those who assist and support him in his music career inspire him the most.

He says one of his greatest goals as a budding artist is to encourage the next generation to put in their best efforts at school, in their careers, and to believe in themselves to avoid ending up like him.

He says ‘Feelings’ is about how he experiences events happening around him.

“‘Work Hard’ is another song to keep an eye out for. It encourages me to never give up and to work hard to achieve more in order to accomplish my goals,” says YGSB.

‘Days Like This’, another song on the EP, is about thanking one’s employers, the artist says.

YGSB says he collaborated with Muis and Luzanne on the EP.
