Youth empowerment conference set for Saturday

GROWTH … Some of the young people who attended the previous youth empowerment conference in the capital.

Hundreds of young people are expected to attend the youth empowerment conference, ‘The Future is Youth’, set to take place on Saturday.

The conference is organised by Elevate Edify Life Coaching, a team that is passionate about youth development.

The organisers say the conference aims to be an enriching experience to foster the personal and professional growth of young Namibians.

Violette Mureko from Elevate Edify Life Coaching says the main aim of the event is to encourage, empower and enrich the youth by providing them with the necessary tools to rediscover their passions and acquire soft skills.

“These skills will help them successfully enter the academic or entrepreneurial worlds as mature and well-prepared young adults,” says Mureko.

She adds that attendees can expect a dynamic and exciting programme filled with a variety of activities designed to inspire and engage.

Highlights of the event include motivational talks and inspiring sessions focused on personal development, self-mastery and goal achievement; interactive workshops and hands-on activities that will help youth develop essential skills for both academic and entrepreneurial success; fun and engaging games that promote teamwork, leadership and critical thinking and health and fitness sessions led by professional health and fitness instructors.

The conference will feature guest speakers Violette Mureko, a renowned life transformation coach specialising in personal development and youth upliftment and Erna Motinga, who has more than two decades of experience in the financial services sector and has operated as a pro bono coach for over five years.

According to the organisers, the speakers were selected after a shared moment of reflection in which they realised the urgent need to guide and motivate the youth.

Attendees will rediscover and pursue their true-life passions, gain essential soft skills for academic and entrepreneurial success, strategies for self-mastery and personal development, as well as insights from experienced professionals on overcoming challenges and achieving goals.
