Zambezi man arrested for allegedly raping wife

A man (39) was arrested for allegedly raping his wife in the Zambezi region.

Regional police spokesperson inspector Kisco Sitali told The Namibian on Friday that the suspect also faces an additional charge of assault through threat.

Sitali said on 10 December 2024 the suspect allegedly had sexual intercourse with his spouse without her consent and threatened to kill her at their homestead in the Kaliyangile area.

“The suspect was arrested, and police investigations continue,” he said.

Sitali added that the suspect will appear in the Katima Mulilo Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
